Market & Feasibility Analysis: Philippines is MRO destination in Southeast Asia. Our client wanted to assess opportunity to provide MRO services for trainer aircrafts and rotatory aircrafts for multiple SE Asian countries. Client wanted to hyper focus on specific areas within MRO to limit budget spend and establish a proof of concept before focusing on extrapolating growth. Kraftland assessed the market opportunity and service delivery models for supporting MRO for different trainer and rotatory aircrafts. We estimated the size of total serviceable market, trends and analysed competitor landscape and built a 5-year business case for the same. This included designing the service delivery model and estimating the costs for the same over 5-year horizon. Assessed build vs buy scenario. Did a due diligence on possible take overs, with recommendations to client on the pros and cons and key benefits and issues of purchase of target organization. Built service portfolio matrix for the maintenance organization. Looked at feasibility of leveraging the current operating model to provide other services like Maintenance training. Also helped the organization built their vision, mission, objection, key result areas and performance indicators to enable measuring their success. Kraftland provided clarity to the investors on a go-no go for the investments. We also helped the client to decide that the MRO would only be built through a build approach. Consequently, a new organization is being spun off focusing on MRO for trainer aircrafts and maintenance training.
